It's going to be quite an upscale shindig, a gala event for critically acclaimed, Mildred's Umbrella Theater Co. The theme is "dead celebrities," but I decided to just go as myself . . . Next week, I'll be heading back up East to rehearse with the FABULOUS Gin Mill Kingz in the cool little studio at the edge of NYC, and then it's back home for the big World United Roots Music Festival in beautiful San Marcos, Texas. My sources say they've booked over 100 bands for this first-annual weekend-long event with camping near the river. What a great time we'll have . . .
