Houston: Saturday, January 18 at Khon's

Happy New Year, Everybody!  I hope that your 2014 is off to a good, strong start.  I’ve got a lot going on, including an album in progress, an invitation to host a showcase in Austin in March, and some exciting shows on the horizon.

Thanks to everyone who attended my rooftop performance at Khon’s at the end of November.  It turned out to be one of my most memorable evenings of 2013, thanks to you!  Khon’s wine and coffee bar is my favorite venue in trendy Midtown, Houston—intimate casual atmosphere, artist-owned, staffed by familiar faces from the Houston theater and art scene, featuring excellent classic jazz on Sunday evenings, amongst a weekly lineup of up-and-coming local bands.

Tomorrow night (Saturday, January 18), I’ll be there with Texan songwriter, Jimmy Pizzitola, who also hosts the Tuesday night songwriter showcases at another favorite Houston venue, historic La Carafe, in the heart of downtown.  Greg Henkel of the Flying Fish Sailors, Houston’s multi-award-winning folk group, will accompany me on his impressive viofiddle.  And we will play alternating sets until around midnight.  Here’s the lowdown:
