Hey, Everybody! I’m writing to let you know that this Tuesday evening (November 19) I’ll be appearing in the line-up celebrating the one-year anniversary of my favorite singer-songwriter showcase in Houston, hosted by Jimmy Pizzitola at La Carafe—an ambient little place in the heart of downtown, which is reported to be the oldest commercial building in Houston and possibly even haunted! The atmosphere is intimate and low key with romantic lighting, small, private tables for quiet conversation by candle light, a friendly bartender for those who care to mingle, and convenient patio seating on scenic Market Square for smoking and relaxing to the tune of the acoustical strains that waft through the cool night air from the warmth within this historic enclave on Congress Avenue. Jimmy has done a tasteful and selective job of keeping the live music suited to this classic, casual spot where theater goers and the downtown business set, as well as local scenesters, actors, artists, local musicians, dancers and British rock stars have stopped in through the years for a drink and a song. There is no place quite like

Bring cash. They don't take plastic because they still use their original, antique cash register—how cool!
See you soon.
Y'all come!
