We'll be ringing in the holidays at La Carafe, Downtown. The Christmas tree is already lit on Market Square, and the spirit is in the air. The ghosts of Christmases past are beginning to appear at this historic, haunted spot, the oldest commercial building in Houston that still employs its original cash register and caters to the Downtown business set, as well as theatergoers, local scenesters, artists, actors and musicians, to the tune of a classic juke box, occasional live music, and quiet conversation by candlelight at the hundred year old bar or a private table indoors or out. Greg Henkel will be accompanying me on his impressive vio-fiddle, and host, Jimmy Pizzitola, will be unleashing his new band! Y'all come!
