I can't imagine SXSW without playing my favorite annual event in Austin, the Big Kev Radiothon, which has become a tradition for so many regional and national Americana artists, such as Hayes Carll, Chuck Meade, Jesse Dayton, Marcia Ball, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and many more who stop by to see Big Kev and play for free in this intimate, air-conditioned, cafe during the week of SXSW in Austin. This year the Derailers will be playing the slot right after mine, and Kev has also booked Billy Joe Shaver, one of my favorite songwriters. I'm especially pleased that Greg Henkel will be accompanying me on his impressive viofiddle, too. Y'all come!
