From Redneck Steve: "The 2nd Annual Honky Tonk Golf Classic is set to take place on Saturday August 16th. If you haven't heard about the one we had last year believe me when I tell you that it was the biggest hoot any of us can ever remembering happening. Whether you are a good golfer or if you have never played before it doesn't matter, women are welcome, and there is one kickass party at Blancos after the tournament. Larry Parcell and John Evans have just released details and are ready for y'all to sign up - there are limited spots available so do it now. $100 per player includes the golfing, a shirt, a koozie, lunch, and admission to the show at Blancos and a real kickass trophy if you win. It will be a 4 man best ball scramble and you can sign up individually or as a team. There will also be a washer tournament at Blancos after the golf tournament. Costs will be $50 for a 2 person team and includes admission to the show. If you play both golf and washers cost will be $110 total. If you just want to come to the show at Blancos it will be $15 at the door starting around 4pm. Bands that will be playing are The Romeo Dogs, The John Evans Band, The Honky Tonk Heroes, Wade Barfield, The John A Sanders Band, Sean Reefer & The Resin Valley Boys, Clay Farmer, Cody Kouba and others TBA. All proceeds will benefit Kevin Rath, the Honky Tonk Heroes' guitar player, who is fighting inoperable cancer. Items for a silent auction are being accepted.
