The show will be a band performance, and we'll play two sets of thirty minutes each at this gallery opening for internationally-acclaimed sculptor Mel Chin whose towering metal columns are visible to those who travel through downtown Houston on I-45. I am really looking forward to this event and to sharing the stage with my multi-talented friend, Hank Schyma, the frontman for the Southern Backtones, and upright bass player, Shawn Supra, who just recorded two songs with me for my new album at Sugar Hill Studios and who has toured with the likes of Hank Williams, III, Rosie Flores, and Chris Scruggs, the grandson of Earl Scruggs. This one will be big--they're expecting about 3,000 visitors to the museum over the course of the evening, so y'all come catch the Glenna Bell Band debut at the Station in Houston's historic Third Ward Museum District. Food and drinks will be available!
