A few months ago, after performing at the North Texas New Music Festival in Dallas, Hank Schyma--frontman for the Southern Backtones (www.southernbacktones.com), suggested that he and I put on an acoustic show together at Cosmos Cafe here in Houston. Needless to say, I was thrilled by the prospect of sharing a stage with Hank, whose musicianship and showmanship have captivated me time and again. Hank is "the real deal," as they say, and this will be a listening room experience you won't forget. I've just had confirmation on two talented "special guests" as well. They are "KrissAnn"--who will open the show and entertain during the break with her authentic style of original roots country music, straight from the mountains--and Chris Cook, washboard player extraordinaire, who will join me once again on a few songs, including "Here In Texas" and "Cosmos Cafe." This night's going to be guaranteed, bonified fun. Y'all come!
