I met a very real singer-songwriter when I had the pleasure to perform again at Bills music store in Dallas back in October--Jimmy Baldwin--and I am very much looking forward to sharing an evening of original music with Jimmy at Standard & Pours, a charming venue I played last summer, located at the bottom of the Sears building, a chic converted loft community in downtown Dallas.
Of Jimmy Baldwin, Bob Bodett, of Motel 6 commercial fame, says, "I would take this CD [Somebody's Nobody] any place with me. Jimmy B. sings about the stuff we all know too well, but are grateful to only remember about half of."
And Standard & Pours received a 2005 "Best of Dallas" award from the Dallas Observer. I have a really good feeling about this one, so y'all come.
