I'll be the headliner, the fourth act in a line-up of touring bands, including Austin-based Kristi Rae whose original music has been clearly influenced by one of the most haunting singer-songwriters of the twentieth century, Elliot Smith.
The evening should be diverse, ranging from the pop-singer-songwriters who'll be represented from out of town across the gamut to little rootsy me. And Super Happy Funland is such an eclectic, quirky place in the historic Heights. It's located in an old wood-frame home that's been transformed into a venue with a sort of retro coffee house, hippified feel--all colorful and filled with comfortable couches from Goodwill and knicknacks everywhere. I'll bet Janis Joplin would fit right in over at Super Happy Funland. So y'all come--I hear the show's guaranteed to be enough super happy fun for everybody, if you know what I mean.
