The Tour de Pink is a bicycle ride for breast cancer to take place near Hempstead, Texas, and to include a variety of rambling tours ranging from 10 to 62 miles for cyclists of all levels throughout the beautiful southeast Texas countryside.
Cyclists will be raising money for the Pink Ribbons Project, dancers in motion against breast cancer to fight breast cancer through awareness and education programs and the support of proper screening for the medically underserved and funding research initiatives.
There will be a luncheon and festivities, including a line-up of musical acts, after the ride. I'm honored to have been chosen to sing the anthem during the post-ride ceremony, and will be performing some of my original songs, as well. The event will be at Prairie View A&M, and specifics, including directions, should be posted on the Tour de Pink Web site link, above.
