Chunks

Dig 101 Gallery, 1011 Washington Ave, Houston, TX

I'll be performing at "Chunks," a public art opening featuring the work of thirty prestigious sculptors. The event is organized by Wayne Gilbert, whom you might have seen featured in the Houston Chronicle and People magazine for his unique medium of painting: he makes beautiful art from the ashes of the deceased. Wayne has put together a wonderful line-up of talent for this show at Dig 101 Gallery, located conveniently near downtown Houston, the Heights, and the Montrose districts. Some of the sculptors include the Art Guys, Mike Scranton, Paul Kittleson, Ed Wilson, Carter Ernst, Mark Bradford, and Tim Glover. Judging by the variety of ultra-creative events Wayne has hosted through the years, this will be one not to miss. And if the term "art opening" sounds stuffy to you, don't worry--this one will defy the stereotype. Trust me. I know this bunch of folks, and they're more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Really. Y'all come.
