I'm looking forward to opening for the one-and-only John Evans Band and being back at Rudyards again. John is my hero and not only produced my new album, Face This World, but also sang two duets on it and played guitar and washboard. The John Evans Band has been touring heavily (at venues as diverse as CBGB's in New York and Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas), performing John's all-original music that combines elements of rock-a-billy, country, punk, and roots rock. And they put on a real show, not like other bands that just sort of stand there looking plain while they play.
I'll be the opening act, performing solo, at 10 pm, and John's band will headline. The U-Joints will play in between, and I hear that they too are quite captivating. I highly recommend this evening of entertainment. Y'all come.
