I'm excited about playing again at this one-of-a-kind venue of good friends' Dawn Fudge and David O'Dea. The Last Concert Cafe is a Houston landmark where Carolyn Wonderland, among many others, cut her musical teeth.
The Cafe is located in Houston's historical downtown warehouse district and offers great Mexican food that's not just your run-of-the-mill tacqueria fare, plus a full bar and a magical outdoor patio/stage.
I'll be opening for the David Fahl band, whom I've really enjoyed sharing a stage with before. David is a talented songwriter, and his band is made up of seasoned musicians. I hear the influence of folk, rock, and country in this excellent act that is also known to do Bob Dylan covers.
And as an added bonus, I was just informed by Last Concert booking pro, Lonne Martinec, that a touring band from Nashville will also take the stage and perform a few numbers. Lonne says they're GOOD. So, this is bound to be a terrific show at one of my favorite venues anywhere--the Legendary Last Concert Cafe. Y'all come.
