See Me in Nashville

Hey, Everybody!  After spending a very exciting and productive week in Houston, co-writing and recording with Ronnie King, who flew in from Palm Springs, CA and turned my old house into the rockin’-est place in the ‘hood, I’m about to head back out to Music Row with some really cool demos!

Here’s an excerpt about Ronnie from the California Sound Studios Web site:

“Quickly establishing himself as ‘the indie Rick Rubin’ for his Midas Touch with edgy artists in rock, hip-pop and punk, famed keyboardist and producer Ronnie King returns to his roots as music producer and musician at California Sound Studios, Inc. One of the busiest and most requested keyboardists and producers in pop, hip-hop, alternative and modern punk over the past 15 years, King’s resume runs wildly eclectic, from mainstream pop artists (Mariah Carey and KC & JoJo) to hot pop-thugs (2Pac, Coolio, Snoop Dogg protégés Eastsidaz) and the metal inflected punk of The Offspring. Known for his trademark sound on Analog Mini-Moog, he also toured with Rancid and was a member of L.A. punk supergroup, The Joykiller . . .”  [Read more at http://www.casoundstudios.com/the-team/ ]

I’ll be posting the new material soon, and in the meantime, you can click the links below to get a personal, bird’s eye view of what we’re up to via these little, short clips that were shot right here in Houston on my front porch:

At 9:30 Tuesday night (Nov 13), I’ll be playing at the Commodore in Nashville on West End near Vanderbilt in a songwriter showcase hosted by Debi Champion.  I’ll look forward to reconnecting with my new Nashville friends, and thanks again to all of you who came out and supported my last show there a couple of months ago.  I hope to see you out at the Commodore on Tuesday!

I’ll spend the rest of the week in meetings on Music Row, then head back to Houston to get ready for an East Coast run in December/January.  In February, I’ll be recording vocals in Austin with someone from NYC who will remain a surprise for the time being, but I’ll tell you what – this is gonna be a big one.  Stay tuned . . .

And y’all come!
