Meet Me at the G in Houston this Saturday

Hey, Everybody—Just a quick note to let you know that I’ll be performing a set at the G Gallery in the historic Houston Heights Saturday night (June 1) at 8 o’clock, accompanied by Greg Henkel on his impressive viofiddle.  The G is “a contemporary art gallery with a roster that showcases eclectic and often provocative work by outsider, emerging and established artists from all parts of the globe and features artists unafraid to challenge convention.”  The G Gallery is located at

301 East 11th Street

Houston, Texas 77008

And the opening from 6-9 p.m. will showcase the work of legendary Lubbock artist, Jeffrey Wheeler, who was featured, with his artist/musician brother Bryan Wheeler, in Catherine Anspon’s 2010 survey of contemporary Texas art, Texas Art Today.  Most recently, he has teamed up with Wayne Gilbert and Diane Barber to organize the fifteen-year anniversary tour of “Ulterior Motifs,” a celebratory traveling exhibition of Texas art that will feature past, core artists and new additions:
