Hey, Everybody—I’m on the radio again on Jon “Chip” Colcord’s show, Out of the Woods, in New Hampshire, with Billy Eli and his band, Axe Hammer Saw. After discovering this honky tonk Texan troubador in February on Out of the Woods and meeting him for the first time in Austin in March, he and I got together at Warren’s in Houston last weekend and swapped some songs at my old wood frame house here at the forgotten edge of the city. We talked about some upstate New York shows together in June. Looks like June 21 in Oneida will be our “anchor date,” though we’ll both be up that way doing our own thing too.
I’ll keep you posted on all of this and more, including the newest addition to my album in progress, a song that was born at historic Sugar Hill Studios just two nights ago.
