Hey, Everybody!  I’m back in Houston on the heels of a whirlwind trip to Austin in preparation to finish my album out there in a couple of weeks!  Most memorable moments were getting to sit at the piano with Mark Abernathy, the talented producer I met in NYC a couple of years ago, and going over some of the material for the new record; hanging out late on the Lamar strip in the parking lot of the good old Saxon Pub with Mark and my songwriter friend from Houston, Jimmy Pizzitola, after being treated to a raucous, down-home performance by our buddies, Mason Lankford and the Folk Family Revival; and spending a magical afternoon at the famous Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin, sharing coffee and conversation with someone very special who has graced the album with a signature piano part that I believe you will love as much as I do when you hear it.  I’ve been doing a lot of writing, too, and am looking forward to debuting some of the new songs tonight at La Carafe with Greg Henkel backing me on his incredible viofiddle and dear Daniel serving up the drinks and good cheer behind the oldest, most beloved bar in Houston . . .  As always, there is no place like home.  Y’all come!
