Houston: La Carafe Tonight, Dean's Downtown Sunday

Hey, Everybody!

I hope that everyone everywhere is having a fun and productive summer.  I’ve been enjoying spending time at the turn-of-the-century one-room “Lone Star” schoolhouse my grandmother attended that we are renovating deep in the magical woods of East Texas across the road from my parents’ lovely home where I spent so much of my youth.  I am working on songs for an exciting new album that I will write about more in the near future!

But in the meantime, it is that time again—time for my “third Tuesday” show at historic La Carafe on Congress Avenue in downtown Houston tonight (July 18) from 9-11 p.m. with Billy Sanders on electric guitar and Greg Henkel on his incredible viofiddle.  Lots of fun guaranteed, you never know who you might see . . . at La Carafe!

And on Sunday (July 23) from 8-10 p.m., I’ll be at another historic Houston venue, Dean’s Downtown, on Main Street with Texas singer-songwriter, Matt Harlan.  Matt is the “real deal” and it will be a pleasure to share the stage with him in a casual but serious songwriter showcase that attracts a regular crowd of people who come out to socialize and listen.

Parking is free and easy in downtown Houston on Tuesday and Sunday evenings, and La Carafe and Dean’s are air-conditioned—a welcomed reprieve from this Houston Heat.

Y’all come!
