Hey, Everybody!

I'm back in Houston on the heels of another annual Austin adventure.  Thanks to everyone who made the showcases such a success, especially radio host, Big Kev, who so graciously invited me to participate in his 6th annual radiothon, which once again turned out to be "most excellent" and will be broadcast on Kev's station, WLVR, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania this Spring.  I'll keep you posted and send out a link when the performance airs.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to another great time tonight at La Carafe, Downtown with Greg Henkel on his incredible viofiddle.

AND GUESS WHAT --

One of my songs, "Shiner Bock & ZZ Top," has become the cornerstone of a new short play!

"Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Company and Wordsmyth Theatre proudly present Museum of Dysfunction VII: A Showcase of Shorts. The seventh installment of our annual short play festival features pieces by new playwrights from across the nation and produced by the wonderfully talented Mildred’s Umbrella Company and friends. With over 200 submissions this year, we’ve chosen 20 of the best to bring new voices to Houston audiences."

DETAILS: Museum of Dysfunction VII: A Showcase of Shorts

WHEN:  March 26-28

WHERE: Studio 101
1824 Spring St.
Houston, TX 77007

I've seen my plays staged but never had my music featured in a stage play, so this should be an exciting "first time" for me.  The short by Hattie Whelan is quite a compelling piece of drama addressing the often vicious politics that unfold behind the ivy walls of the nation's ivory towers.  Highly recommended!
