Austin on March 13 AND Link to Great Radio Show!

Hey, Everybody!  Just a quick note to say that it’s a sunny day here in Houston, and I’ve been enjoying it to the soundtrack of this cool syndicated radio show that was sent to me this morning by radio host, Chip Colcord in New Hampshire, because it features one of my songs, “The Texas Aggies Win Again,” alongside songs by all-Texas artists, including my top favorites Lightnin’ Hopkins, Janis Joplin, and George Jones, as well as Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, and many more, plus a special guest from Austin, Billy Eli who comes from my neck of the woods in East Texas.  Chip says, “Lots of fun this week as we tried to warm New Hampshire up 'Texas Style' with Billy Eli live in the studio straight from Austin!  Along for the ride was dobro great, Kevin Maul. The pair played some great tunes, and I filled out most of the rest of the show with songs by Texas artists.”

AND it was a real surprise to hear a new song that I actually loved—“Siamese Cat,” by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin.  I think that you will really like Chip’s show, so check it out at

Also, I want to let everyone know that I will be hosting a showcase in Austin on Thursday, March 13, from 1-5 p.m.  It will be my debut as a host, and I know that many of you will be in town that week to support live music, so please stop by Oltorf and Lamar on March 13.  I would love to see you there!

Y’all come!
