Houston Tomorrow and Austin in March

Hey, Everybody!  Happy Presidents’ Day!

I feel like celebrating, as I’m basking in the afterglow of a weekend spent finishing a new song that marks an exciting breakthrough in my songwriting and will complete the new album in progress that I’ll be telling you about more in the upcoming months.

In the meantime, I want to remind everyone in the Houston area that tomorrow (February 20) is the third Tuesday of the month, so I’ll be at historic La Carafe in Market Square from 9-11 p.m. with Greg Henkel on his incredible viofiddle.  To my surprise, last month’s show was snowed out (yes, in Houston!), so it will be especially good to be back at LC.

And it’s that time of the year, so once again I’m getting ready to make the scenic Springtime drive to Austin for Big Kev’s annual Americana radio showcase at Opa! on South Lamar where I’ll be performing on the afternoon of March 15.  Opa! is such a welcomed reprieve from the hubbub of SXSW with its cozy, coffee house atmosphere, lovely outdoor patio, and dedicated parking lot, not to mention the diverse array of Texas and touring talent hand-picked for the occasion by Big Kev himself all the way from NYC.

I am really looking forward to this day.

Y’all come!
